Learn the foundation and formula of the Zumba® program and how to adapt it for an active older audience. Receive Zumba® License and Zumba® Gold License if joining ZIN. Jump Start Gold is a program designed to bring together the foundation of Zumba Fitness as taught in our B1 Instructor Training and our Zumba Gold Training.

This course is designed for instructors who wish to teach the active older adult and addresses the anatomical, physiological, and psychological needs specific to this population.  It will also prepare you to teach attendees just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. 

Jump Start Gold teaches you the foundation and formula to teach a safe and effective Zumba class and prepares you to teach Zumba Gold classes by integrating the concepts of the Zumba Gold Program. 

Attendees receive a one-year Basic Zumba License and a Zumba Gold License as long as they are a ZIN Member in good standing.

The Ride by Keiser Indoor Cycling Foundations course will cover everything you need to know to become an engaging, effective and inspiring indoor cycling instructor.  This full-day course covers Keiser M3i cycling and technology, proper bike set up for all levels of riders, riding postures and positions, pedaling technique, form and cadence, energy systems, training with power, FTP testing, modifying intensity, ride profiles, class formats and design, cycling drills, communication, cueing, and more. This course includes both practical training and on- and off- the bike teaching to help you fully engage in the cycling instructor experience, regardless of the bike you teach on. Leveraging Your Local Community Assets to Promote Health and Physical Activity

Connect and learn with a panel of experts that specializes in what it takes to use your local community and environment to promote health and fitness. It isn’t always as easy as “just go outside and exercise”. The ACSM American Fitness Index (Fitness Index) has ranked Arlington, VA as the fittest city in the U.S. for the past five years. This session will highlight the Fitness Index and some of the specific reasons why Arlington ranked so high including access to community assets like parks, recreation centers, ball fields and more. It will also feature fitness professionals with experience working in their local communities; and other organizations and leaders that have contributed to building infrastructure and connections to promote health and wellness outside of traditional fitness settings.
